ROTI Roppongi

Stylish American grill & rotisserie located in the heart of Roppongi, minutes from Roppongi Hills.

The ROTI website describes the restaurant thusly:

"ROTI's concept is simply to serve well cooked authentic American grill & rotisserie cuisine in a modern, comfortable and friendly wine bar setting, and to continue to build on its reputation for capturing the true essence of the great neighborhood eatery."

As far as we're concerned they've succeeded on all counts. The food at ROTI is always first-rate and presented with casual flair and keen attention to detail. The menu draws not only from classic American and Cajun cuisine but from Southeast Asia and South America as well. The signature rotisserie chicken, succulent and slow-grilled to perfection, is perhaps the best in town. While certainly not targeting a budget-oriented audience, ROTI's cost-performance is not something the average diner would likely question. 

Their recently renovated dining room offers modern comfortable seating for up to 42 guests and incorporates the wine bar with additional seating for up to 16. The quiet and secluded outside terrace seats 32 and is very popular in the fine weather months. The perfect place to escape from the big city, relax and enjoy lunch, dinner or a glass of wine.

As for the wine, think New World, with most of the wines coming from Australia, South America, California and the Pacific Northwest. Prices are very reasonable, with a lower markup than you're likely to find elsewhere. There are typically 8-10 wines by the glass, priced at between 900 and 1300 yen. The wine bar, introduced as part of the redesign, is a great place to pop in to when killing time in the area or just looking to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine.
