Not sure if this is a trick you want to try with your premium or older wines, but for some need-it-now Aussie plonk? Probably just fine...

Tokyo Wine Complex World Wine Fair 2010

Held on February 25th at the Tokyo Design Center in Gotanda, this event featured 20 importers and over 400 wines. Unlike some other large-scale tastings we've attended recently (particularly those sponsored by iwine.jp), this had decent food catered by two restaurants that share the building, Indigo and Aotea Rangi.

The wines were mostly from Spain and South America, but it was possible to enjoy a little bit of everything, both Old World and New. At 6500 yen a good deal overall, and we were able to discover some new wines and importers. Our favorites tables that evening included those for ZAS!, Yuyay and Hotei Wines.
